This is what boredom does to me
Hokay, so, I was bored today, and procrastinating from doing the stuff that I really need to do. And Troy gave me a copy of Spaceballs on VHS (cause he had 2 and really, how many copies of that movie do you need? Especially on VHS...). Which is fine, only I was told that our VCR was out of commission.
Only I started thinking, because what I'd been told (since it's Latonya's VCR) was that we didn't have the right cord (and it would be really hard to find one). But, we have a DVD player that works just fine... aren't the cords the same?
Shot answer is: YES. There is NO DIFFERENCE except that one has a red plug for stereo, and the other one doesn't. It took me about thirty seconds to hook up the VCR and have it running, and that's only because it took me a little while to find the cord. And then I went to Wal-Mart with Troy and Ashley and bought another cord so I wouldn't have to go back and forth between the VCR and the DVD player all the time. It was like $6. Seriously.
So, I got to watch Spaceballs today. Which made me really happy! I forgot how much I love that movie. It's one of the best Mel Brooks flicks out there, and I'm not just saying that because it's a parody of Star Wars. But it made me wonder just how lazy Latonya is, because honestly, it took me NO effort to make that work. I even had to go to Wal-Mart for other stuff, too, and we had to walk past the electronics section to get to the sporting goods, so it was like three steps out of our way. Wow. Um.
Oh! And, Ashley and I decided to build a fort in our living room! Look, I have pictures!
We're going to leave it up until Latonya comes home. I can't wait to see the look on her face! Oh, and we decided to have a tea party in there tomorrow. I might call Elyse and Sarah and see if they're interested in joining us... of course, Sarah might not be back in FC yet but if she is I bet she'd be down. There's lots of room in there; it takes up like the whole living room. We could fit three or four of us in there. We already fit two of us and both dogs, and there was about half of it left. Ashley and I spent like an hour and a half in there just talking about stuff. It was great fun. It's amazing how similarly we think; I should talk with her more often! That's a friendship I need to keep, no matter how far apart we end up living someday.
So... yeah. Classes start the day after tomorrow, and what do we do? We hook up VCRs and build forts in the living room.
I think I prefer the fort...
