Jots and Tittles

So, I've had this LJ for more than a year now, and I figured, it's time for a new look.  And this one seems quite appropriate for a writer, so I picked it.

But, hooray!  NaNoWriMo is only four short days away, and even though I'm nowhere near ready, I'm excited.  I'd hoped to get a full snowflake in this year before I started writing, but as of today I'm only on step four of ten (well, step 10 is "start writing" so really I only have five to do before Thursday) so I don't think that'll happen.  Still, considering that last time I only had halfway through step three done by NaNo, I'm going to call this an improvement.  Besides, who knows what can happen between here and Thursday?

So, story idea.  I'm calling my story "Cinderella's Revenge" at the moment, for lack of a better title, although it's not really revenge so much as it is a complete re-telling.  Or, not even that, really, because really the only thing my Sarah has in common with Cinderella is her past.  But she eventually gets fed up with life as a servant and runs away, meets the prince on her own and has to save him from her stepmom, who's trying to get him married to her daughter.  It's gonna be sweet.

Gah.  I can't believe it's already (practically) November!  I mean, I'm glad, but holy CRAP is my last year as a student going fast.  I'm going to have to start looking for a job, soon! *trembles in fear*  I don't wanna!  Don't make me!

On a completely unrelated note. Nella Fantasia is one of the most beautiful songs ever written.  Mmmmmmmmm... *wanders off to listen*
